i prefer the gba ones better 4th generation not so much of a fan

The Third Generation is noted as one of the best Pokemon generations, and it can stand in that position. The introduction of new link battles, the Battle Frontier, more variety in the Elite Four and new Pokemon helped gain it that position. But besides that, the Fourth Generation was a big improvement from Generation III. There was a new system to play it on, new Pokemon, new evolutions, and the overall game engine was extremely advanced.

Now as SoulSilver and HeartGold wait on the horizon, I truly have to admit that my favorite generation is Generation IV, probably because it was more addictive to me. Now, it's up to the rest of you Violet Alliance members to decide your answer to this question: "Which generation was better, Generation III, or Generation IV?"

I can't decide until i actually get to play HG/SS. If i had to pick know, i'd say 2nd Gen is my favorite, An amazing region with amazing games. I really enjoy it

I would say R/S/E FireRed Leafgreen, because i haven't played HGSS yet so i don't know yet, i go for GBA, but i will probabley switch at the cause HGSS look damn awesome expecially the Red Gyarados sprite!

i think once HGSS come out, the DS games will be so much better than the GBA. but DS are better anyway.

its crazy, the graphics of hgss make it look like a whole different generation from diamond and pearl. theyre amazing.

Well, G/S/C... they were fantastic. I did love the third generation games - the improvement of graphics, Frontier... It was really great. The fourth generation games were also great. The 3D graphics rocked and I would love a combination of 2 + 3 + 4th gen somehow.

HG/SS is plainly 2nd and 4th gen, but some features (no idea what) from the 3rd gen (oh, say the Sevii Islands from FR/LG) would make it so awesome.

Also, HG/SS adds my all time favourite feature - a pokemon following you! But, more importantly, ANY pokemon following you - not just Pikachu!

I would love the English version of HG/SS to be released; when it does I will definately play it. The Japanese version won't ever be my cup of tea.

actually I have no preferences. ds kicked butt with the new fixes and game mechanics but gb was awesome to especially with GS.
